Privacy & email policy
What we collect, why, and how to make us stop. In plain words.
If we emailed you
Handful Studio writes to small YouTube channels to offer a free thumbnail sample. We only use a business email that a channel publishes itself, in its channel description or on its own website. We never buy lists, guess addresses or get around YouTube’s protected email button.
For each channel we keep: the channel’s name, id, country and subscriber count, its latest video’s title and thumbnail, the public business email and where we found it, and whether we wrote and what happened (sent, replied, bounced, unsubscribed). We use it to make one sample for your latest video and to send one email about it.
Every email we send says why you got it, says it was drafted with AI assistance (“This is a one-time offer from a small design studio. It was drafted with AI assistance; a person reads every reply.”), carries our postal address, and has a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing is immediate and permanent: your address goes on a suppression list that is checked before every email we send, so we never write again. Channels in the EU and EEA are left out of our outreach by default.
If you ordered
Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your card number. We keep your email address, what you ordered, your brief and the thumbnails we made, to deliver your order and handle a revision. Photos you upload of yourself are used only for your thumbnails and are deleted 30 days after your order is finished. We only show your thumbnails on this site if you tick the box on your order form that says we may.
Who helps us
- Resend sends our emails; Stripe takes payments.
- Supabase stores our records and files; Vercel hosts this site.
- Anthropic’s Claude drafts our emails and checks our work; an AI image tool makes the artwork. Each of them processes data under its own terms.
Your choices
Write to hello@handfulstudio.com to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We keep only your suppression entry after a deletion, so that we never contact you again.
